Новая инди-фолк певица Mug Burgundy представила сингл «Alone and in Love» о чувствах в отношениях на расстоянии

Mug Burgundy is an emerging indie folk and Americana artist whose music finds beauty in quiet moments, human connection, and the landscapes that shape us. With intimate storytelling, understated production, and a voice that feels both vulnerable and assured, Mug Burgundy creates songs that invite listeners to slow down and experience emotion without distraction. The writing is rooted in honesty rather than spectacle, balancing poetic lyricism with warm, organic arrangements that feel timeless while remaining unmistakably contemporary. You’re catching Mug Burgundy at the beginning, with only one single “Sugar in a Cake” preceding the current one. “Alone and in Love” captures the feeling of being in a long-distance relationship, where the phone is the connection and your imagination is your own worst enemy. Starting with a classic hillbilly guitar phrase that eventually shares the soundscape with reverb-laden guitars, banjo, bass, and drums, the lead singer’s voice is low, as if confessing the sense of vast dislocation. “Thank goodness for all these old songs/ Describing stuff from people who dunnit.” The beautiful irony of that line is that “Alone and in Love” could be one of those old songs, not in a clinging, copying sort of way, but in its assurance. Mug Burgundy doesn’t need anyone’s approval to sing the songs they know.
