Сенатор Сcott Карр призвал Конгресс продолжить финансирование программы модернизации ядерного щита Sentinel

I want to emphasize the Sentinel nuclear modernization program’s importance to our country and to our economy in Pennsylvania. Building the next generation of nuclear defense is absolutely crucial in the coming years, and we must continue to fund programs like Sentinel to maintain peace through strength. According to the Northrop Grumman website, defense programs like Sentinel generate more than $65 million in economic impact in Pennsylvania. That supports jobs, local suppliers and other businesses across the state and has serious implications for our national security. Ensuring our armed forces have the best equipment to keep them safe should not be a partisan issue. Programs like Sentinel are designed to maintain deterrence and keep Americans safe in an increasingly complex global environment. This is more important with every passing day as our adversaries abroad strengthen their own nuclear forces. Congress can, and must, continue to fund Sentinel. Failure here is not an option.
