Винодельня Larson Family празднует 40-летие сбора урожая в Сомали

Grape stomping, wagon rides around the vineyard, award-winning wines, food truck catering and live music will be offered at Larson Family Winery ’s annual Harvest Party this month. The event will take place on Sunday, Sept. 20, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the winery, located at 23355 Millerick Road in Sonoma. “This year is especially exciting because it marks our 40th harvest,” said Trevor Sonsteng, tasting room manager at the winery. “It’s become a really special tradition for us and a great way to celebrate the harvest season with our guests and the local community.” Upon arrival, attendees can visit with farm animals and a couple of the winery dogs. All attendees, including children, will be able to join in the grape stomp. “We love seeing families participate together, and it’s become a fun tradition at our Harvest Party,” Sonsteng said. The wagon rides are a prime attraction. “They’re a fun way to see more of the property and get out into the vineyards.” Sonsteng said. “Along the way, guests can learn more about the vineyard and some of the long history of Larson Family Winery.” Winemaker Shane Ryan will offer barrel tasting, giving attendees an opportunity to get a bit closer to the winemaking process. Some light bites will be available for purchase, including cheeses, crackers, prosciutto and other items that pair nicely with Larson’s wines. The Tri Tip Trolley food truck will serve tri-tip, chicken and pulled pork sandwiches, along with mac and cheese and protein bowls. Lindsay Gang, a favorite at the winery, will provide the music. “She’s a singer-songwriter with warm vocals, lush guitar and tender, heartfelt lyrics,” Sonsteng said. “Her music creates a really nice atmosphere for the winery.” Attendees will also be able to play cornhole by the pasture. Sonsteng said that for Larson Family Winery, the harvest celebration is about much more than making wine. “Larson is a working family farm, and our family has been farming in Sonoma since 1877,” he said. “Harvest is a time when all of that history, hard work and tradition really come together. The Harvest Party gives people a chance to experience that side of Larson for themselves, whether it’s through the grape stomp, barrel tasting, wagon rides through the vineyard or simply spending time on the property. It’s a celebration of where we came from and what we’re doing today.” Regular ticket prices for the Harvest Party are $45 for adults and $20 for children (ages 3 to 20), while prices for Larson Family Wine Club members are $36 for adults and $16 for children. Wine club members can purchase up to four adult and four child tickets at the member pricing. Additional tickets are sold to them at the regular price. Every adult ticket includes two glasses of select wines.
