Subscribe Now Fun Town RV has named Jason Lippert its new CEO as the Cleburne, Texas-based family-owned recreational vehicle dealership group prepares for its next stage of growth. Lippert joins Fun Town RV after a 32-year career with Elkhart-based LCI Industries, where he had served as CEO since 2003 before retiring from the company in June. Fun Town RV founder and current CEO Jarrod McGhee will transition to chairman, the company said in a news release. “Getting from where we are today to where we believe Fun Town RV can ultimately go requires us to keep evolving,” McGhee said. “Jason has already helped build and lead an organization at a scale far beyond where we are today. That experience is incredibly valuable as we think about the next decade of Fun Town.” McGhee founded Fun Town RV in 2010 and has grown the company from one dealership to 32 locations across multiple states. The company has focused primarily on organic expansion rather than acquisitions. Lippert retired from LCI just weeks before it was announced that the company was merging with Elkhart-based Patrick Industries Inc. Under Lippert’s leadership, LCI grew from about $100 million in annual revenue to about $5 billion. He also led more than 75 acquisitions as the company expanded its presence in the recreational vehicle, marine and transportation industries. “I have known and collaborated with Jarrod for over a decade and watched them become one of the dominant players in the retail side of this great industry,” Lippert said. “I see an enormous opportunity to combine Fun Town’s entrepreneurial DNA with the operating disciplines and organizational capabilities that can help a great company become even better. I feel I will bring an energy level, experience and passion to the Fun Town family that will help get them to the next level.” Fun Town RV said McGhee will remain involved in the company’s long-term vision, strategy and growth opportunities while working with Lippert.
