Three locations are planned for Everett, Roxbury, and Brockton. According to its website, the stores will be at Gateway Center, 1 Mystic View Road in Everett; 16 Taber St. in Roxbury; and 200 Westgate Drive in Brockton. However, no opening dates have been announced. According to a MassLive report, Juici Patties traces its origins to May Pen, Jamaica, in 1980. It now operates more than 60 locations and employs more than 1,400 people. The U.S. operation is led by CEO Daniel Chin, son of founder Jukie Chin. According to the company's website, Chin started making Jamaican patties in his mother's kitchen and sold them in his parents' grocery store when he was only 16 years old. The menu focuses on Jamaican beef, curry chicken, and chicken patties with avocado, along with sides and drinks. According to SupplyCaddy, the company produces tens of thousands of patties daily from a 20-acre headquarters and plant in Clarendon Park, Jamaica. In addition to Massachusetts, the brand is seeking to open more locations in Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Texas, according to MassLive. Last year, Juici Patties sold more than 3 million patties in the United States. The company reached this milestone within two years of entering the American fast-casual market, according to an Our Today report.
