Jabra представила систему Reach с единым кабелем для унификации видеоконференцсвязи

Jabra launches Reach single-cable meeting room system Thu, 3rd Sep 2026 Jabra has launched Jabra Reach, a single-cable bring-your-own-device extension system for meeting rooms, and unveiled new firmware updates for its PanaCast video portfolio. Jabra Reach lets employees connect a laptop to a meeting room setup through one USB-C cable, giving access to the room's camera, microphones, speakers and display. It is aimed at organisations seeking to standardise video meeting setups across rooms of different sizes. The launch comes as more companies expand bring-your-own-device video collaboration in hybrid-work offices. That shift has created challenges for IT and audiovisual teams, which often have to manage different cable types, adapters and room layouts, leading to inconsistent installations and connection problems. Reach replaces multi-cable arrangements with a single connection for video, audio, USB and optional power. Based on HDBaseT technology, it can extend the connection up to 100 metres, allowing the same approach to be used in smaller spaces and larger rooms. The product can be mounted at the table or behind a display. It also includes concealed ports and secured cables designed to reduce clutter and limit tampering in shared meeting environments. Optional USB-C power delivery of up to 100W means a connected laptop can be charged through the same cable used for the room connection. The product can also be managed through Jabra Plus Management, the company's platform for device visibility, configuration and monitoring. In comments accompanying the announcement, Holger Reisinger outlined the rationale for the launch. "Walking into a room and connecting your own laptop should be the simplest thing in the world, but too often it isn't. You have the wrong cable, the wrong connector, a dropped signal or a table full of adapters," said Holger Reisinger, Senior Vice President, Jabra Video Business Unit. "Jabra Reach solves that at the infrastructure level. Users get one cable to connect, and it works with any video bar or room system and doesn't change how the existing setup functions. It makes that connection reliable and repeatable across every room," Reisinger said. PanaCast updates Alongside the hardware launch, Jabra is adding four software features across the PanaCast portfolio through firmware updates. The additions are aimed at room monitoring, display customisation and device administration. One new feature, People Count, is intended to give organisations a clearer view of room usage. Businesses have increasingly sought occupancy and utilisation data as they reassess office layouts and meeting space demand in hybrid working models. Another addition, Custom Wallpaper, lets companies change the visual appearance of meeting room displays with corporate branding or information. Jabra is also introducing Web UI over USB, which allows browser-based device configuration and management, along with command line interface functionality for deployment and administration at scale. The latest software changes expand the role of the PanaCast range beyond video conferencing hardware, reflecting a broader market trend as vendors try to tie together room devices, management tools and workplace analytics in a single estate. Reach is designed to work across Jabra's video room products, allowing customers to use it with existing meeting room equipment rather than requiring a complete refresh. That may appeal to companies looking to improve room consistency without replacing installed systems. The product will sell for USD $899. The firmware updates for the PanaCast portfolio are being rolled out through the end of the year. Jabra is part of GN Group, which employs more than 7,500 people and sells products in 100 countries.
