Причина гибели 17 лошадей в пожаре на скаковой трассе в Саратога-Спрингс остается неизвестной

Investigation into deadly Saratoga horse barn fire leaves many unanswered questions SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (WRGB) — The cause of a barn fire that killed 17 horses in Saratoga Springs back in June is still undetermined. Fire Chief Joseph Dolan told CBS6 Wednesday the investigation has been completed, but there is no definitive cause. The fire broke out around 2:30 a.m. on June 16. About 350 horses were rescued from neighboring barns. However, 17 horses in one of the barns died. An 18th horse escaped and survived. The horses were owned by two trainers. Robyn Mangiardi lost 11 horses and Timothy Benson lost six horses. The names of the horses that died were: - Arlanda - Conquest As - Crazy Jet - Five Star Lou - Free Willy Hanover - Gimlet Hanover - Influencer - Lyons Dukey - Muscle Dynasty - Our Father Lindy - Perfect Bang - Quite Like Me - Race Me Bombshell - Shalamar Hanover - Trackstar - Tropical Cyclone - Red Meanwhile, the fire also raised concerns about fire suppression systems in barns after it was learned the barn where the horses died had no system installed. Shortly after the June fire, CBS6 also checked with NYRA about fire suppression at Saratoga Race Course. They said barns and dormitories are equipped with fire suppression systems and alarms. They also have security patrolling the area 24 hours a day who are trained in fire preparedness, and a team of fire inspectors for high-risk zones.
