Кардиолог Асим Малхотра присоединился к клинике Овадии для перехода к профилактике сердечных заболеваний

Prominent Indo-British cardiologist and metabolic health specialist Dr. Aseem Malhotra has joined Ovadia Heart Health, partnering with practice founder and cardiac surgeon Dr. Philip Ovadia to shift the focus of cardiovascular medicine toward root-cause prevention. Malhotra’s appointment is a major step toward Dr. Ovadia’s stated mission of preventing one million heart attacks, and brings together two leading voices in the global movement to transform how heart disease is understood, prevented, and treated, according to a media release. Malhotra, an internationally recognized voice in cardiovascular and population health with more than 25 years in medicine, earned his medical degree from the University of Edinburgh in 2001. Throughout his career, he has built a practice centered on preventive cardiology, specifically examining how metabolic health and lifestyle adjustments can address cardiovascular risk long before procedural interventions become necessary. His clinical approach challenges traditional defaults in cardiac care by prioritizing whole-patient evaluations over isolated lab targets. Malhotra focuses on interpreting complete lipid panels, facilitating evidence-based conversations regarding the risks and benefits of statins, and managing root drivers of conditions like hypertension, obesity, coronary heart disease, and angina. A central component of his philosophy involves low-carbohydrate Mediterranean nutrition, patient education, and upholding strict standards of informed consent so individuals can actively participate in their treatment decisions. Practice data showcases that roughly 88% of people are metabolically unhealthy, illustrating a widespread gap in current clinical care that rarely addresses disease before it progresses. Through this collaboration, Malhotra aims to scale metabolic healthcare globally, offer remote consultations, and educate fellow clinicians on root-cause strategies. By combining surgical and cardiological perspectives around metabolic repair, the initiative seeks to establish a preventive standard that measures success by procedural interventions safely avoided.
