Владельцы Porsche 911 готовы платить почти $91 тыс. за автомобиль с пробегом 78 000 миль

Somewhere in Charlotte, North Carolina, a person is currently staring at a Miami Blue 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S listed at $90,950 with 78,000 miles on the clock and thinking, “Yes. This is the one. This is how I announce to the world that I have more money than sense and a profound distrust of depreciation charts.” Let’s examine the specimen under consideration. A near-decade-old 911 that has already lived a full, enthusiastic life—presumably spent terrorizing interstates, parking lot cones, and the occasional curb—is now being offered for roughly the price of a brand-new midsize luxury sedan that still has that new-car smell and a warranty that doesn’t involve crossed fingers. The seller helpfully notes it is “Southeastern Owned,” which is code for “it has spent years sweating in humidity that could rust a submarine.”  The prospective buyer must possess a rare cocktail of traits: an unshakable belief that Porsche ownership at this mileage is still a flex rather than a commitment to future six-figure service bills, a romantic attachment to the idea that “it’s a 911, the engine will last forever,” and a complete inability to do basic arithmetic involving residual value. They will tell themselves the Miami Blue paint is special, the all-wheel-drive system is practical, and the red brake calipers still look aggressive enough to impress strangers at the grocery store.   In reality, they are contemplating paying nearly six figures for a car that has already traveled the equivalent of three trips around the Earth. The maintenance history is a mystery wrapped in an invoice. The next major service will arrive with the subtlety of a tax audit. And the resale trajectory? Let’s just say the graph points downhill faster than the car itself on a wet on-ramp.   Yet here they sit, thumb hovering over the “Message” button, convinced this is the smart play. One can only tip the hat to such magnificent, unfiltered optimism. Or, more accurately, to the comedy of watching someone voluntarily sign up for expensive German engineering at the precise moment the odometer is ready to start telling real stories. Discuss, and put YOUR number of what the MAX that 911 is worth with that many miles.
