Katlyn Blanchard of New Waterford’s Cobra Chickens 3D Printing was tending this flock of desk-sized geese at the new market. She makes them herself and they are the smaller version of the hottest trend in outdoor garden decor. “Porch geese” are popping up everywhere in Nova Scotia this year. Not only do you buy the goose for your front porch or yard, but you can also buy clothes for it for every season, weather event or celebration. Found in gift stores, garden centres and hardware stores that sell outdoor decor, retailers say they can’t keep them on the shelves. Blanchard hopes her smaller ones will find a home on people’s desks or bookshelves. ROSEMARY GODIN/CAPE BRETON POST THIS CONTENT IS RESERVED FOR SUBSCRIBERS ONLY.
