15 Historical Figures With Historically Unique Faces Making history isn't easy. You need to be a great leader, save lots of people, invent something amazing, change people's lives, or do all of that at the same time. But even if you do all that, you won't be remembered unless you have a cool face. Handsome people don't get into that kind of thing, so looking good isn't enough. You need a distinct facial feature that can even show up in drawings with stick figures. Something that might give you an awful nickname in high school, but can be useful down the line. So, here are some historical figures with historically unique faces. Tiberius Caesar Historical accounts highlight his piercing eyes and damaged skin, but nobody was paying attention to that nose. Socrates His contemporaries would compare him to a satyr for his flat nose and big nostrils. Salvador Dalí Even before sporting his iconic moustache, he knew he had a very expressive face and pushed it to the limit. Richard Nixon Heavy cheeks and a big nose that are really hard to forget for many reasons. Richard III of England All of his portraits are like this to hide the fact that his face was extremely asymmetrical. Pope Leo X His protruding eyes might pop out any second now. Niccolo Machiavelli This guy is not creepy at all! Michel de Montaigne That's one big bald head. Joseph Merrick He developed bony enlargements across his skull, face, and right arm, making him a very unique human being, best known as the Elephant Man.
