Жители Марикопа выбрали любимые места города: от ресторанов до многопоколенческих центров

Maricopa’s personality comes from the people who call it home and the local places to which they keep coming back. Whether it’s a favorite restaurant, a community gathering place or somewhere to unwind after a long day, these destinations help shape the city’s character. We asked residents one simple question: If you could send every Maricopa resident to one local place this weekend, where would you send them? Here are their responses. James Cole, 62 Rancho Mirage Native Grill & Wings, 21164 N. John Wayne Parkway What makes it special? They have great deals with food and we love their Tuesday deals on wings. The food is always great and never disappointing. They hold a lot of events that allow the community to enjoy good food and converse. Riley Gay, 75 Homestead North Copper Sky Multigenerational Center, 44345 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. What makes it special? It’s multi-generational and it’s set up for people my age and younger kids and everyone in between. I enjoy exercises and classes and the socializing that comes with it. I enjoy being in class with people my age. Jayda Kuehnl, 18 Homestead Yogurt Jungle, 21101 N. John Wayne Parkway What makes it special? It’s something unique to Maricopa rather than just regular ice cream or a drive-thru. You can converse with people and socialize. I enjoy Yogurt Jungle for the staff and how they are always so kind and welcoming. It’s special because it provides a place for teens to hang out and get froyo. Keisha Moore, 55 The Villages at Rancho El Dorado Yummy Noodles, 20917 N. John Wayne Parkway What makes it special? They’re one of the only places in town that does seafood boil and the only place that has green mussels, and they’re my absolute favorite. It’s a smaller restaurant, but the prices are great and you’re getting genuinely good food that’s always consistent. Susan Nisler, 69 Hidden Valley Raceway Bar and Grill, 49237. W Papago Road What makes it special? It’s very unique; they have a lot of cool decorations and every time I go there, we see a new sign or something we haven’t seen before. They cook to order. I have [special] dietary needs and they’re willing to cook based on what I need, and the food is great. Purvis Orso, 70 Rancho El Dorado Ono Hawaiian BBQ, 20320 N. John Wayne Parkway What makes it special? The food and you can find the culture there who enjoys the authenticity of the food. It’s pretty legitimate and tastes authentic for it being a chain, but adds something to Maricopa we don’t have. This story first appeared in the August issue of InMaricopa.
