Рост корпоративной благотворительности и капитала в Хайдарабаде превращает город в центр стратегической филантропии Азии

Hyderabad's CSR And Wealth Base Boosts Philanthropy Potential Hyderabad's Growing Wealth And CSR Base To Drive Strategic Philanthropy: AVPN Telangana's growing corporate giving and private wealth could position Hyderabad as an important centre for structured philanthropy and impact investment in India and Asia, as the city prepares to take a larger role in the region's social impact ecosystem. Telangana recorded more than Rs 1,054 crore in corporate social responsibility (CSR) expenditure in 2023-24, while Hyderabad has emerged as India's fourth-largest centre for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, according to the Asia Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN). The developments come ahead of the AVPN Global Conference 2026, which will be held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from August 25 to 27. The 13th edition of AVPN's annual conference is being held in India for the first time. More than 2,000 philanthropists, investors, policymakers and leaders from foundations, corporations and social-purpose organisations are expected to attend the conference, which will be held under the theme "A Blueprint for Action in Asia". The conference will focus on mobilising capital and building partnerships to address some of Asia's most pressing social and environmental challenges. Among the speakers will be Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals, who will participate in a session titled "Building Systems That Last: Scaling Impact Beyond Institutions". She is expected to discuss ecosystem-based approaches to creating sustainable impact, cross-sector partnerships and strategies for building institutions capable of delivering long-term outcomes. AVPN said Hyderabad's expanding base of enterprise, private wealth and institutional giving is creating opportunities for more strategic approaches to social impact. The organisation has previously brought together corporate, philanthropic, healthcare and policy leaders in Hyderabad through initiatives such as the Health Impact Leadership Forum. The initiative has focused on sustainable health financing and care for people with rare and undiagnosed diseases. AVPN has also worked with Hyderabad-based Head Held High through its Google.org-backed AI Opportunity Fund to support unemployed young people with artificial intelligence training. These initiatives, according to AVPN, reflect a wider shift in India's CSR and philanthropic landscape towards greater accountability, collaboration and scale. The organisation also highlighted the broader financing challenge facing the Asia-Pacific region. The region is estimated to require about USD 26 trillion in capital through 2030 to sustain economic growth, eradicate poverty and address climate change. "India is becoming an increasingly important part of Asia's social impact story, with its growing CSR and philanthropic ecosystem, strong entrepreneurial base and ability to develop solutions that can scale across the region," said Naina Subberwal Batra, CEO of AVPN. She said bringing the global conference to India for the first time would help connect the country's growing momentum with leadership emerging from cities such as Hyderabad. Batra also highlighted the role of leaders such as Sangita Reddy, whose work spans healthcare innovation, public health, policy and philanthropy, in driving cross-sector approaches to social impact. The conference is expected to provide a platform for leaders from India and across Asia to exchange ideas, build partnerships and develop more collaborative and outcome-focused approaches to philanthropy and impact investment.
