Компания Five Rivers открыла расширенный завод в Корнинг, создав 75 новых рабочих мест

Five Rivers Manufacturing celebrated the opening of its expanded Corning headquarters this week, bringing five American-made brands under one roof. Known for producing waterfowl decoys and hunting gear, Five Rivers moved to Arkansas because of the state's stake in the outdoor industry. "The flooded timber, the rivers, the rice fields -- the finest waterfowl country in the world is out our back door. That's not scenery to us. That is an unmatched playground for research and development," Vice President Joshua Stratton said in a news release. "We don't have to imagine the conditions our products face. We just have to walk outside." The expansion is expected to add more than 75 jobs to the region. A recent Corning job fair drew more than 300 applications, the release said. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Corning had a population in 2020 of approximately 3,227 residents. The unemployment rate for Clay County was 4.4% in July, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. "G&H plays a big part in making that happen, driving jobs and investment to a part of the natural state that's earned it. And with their help, we're not just making Arkansas duck hunts better. We're making our state a better place than ever to live, to work and to raise a family," Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders said. Sanders attended the opening day ceremony on Wednesday alongside Arkansas Secretary of Commerce Hugh McDonald. The news release stated that $4.25 million a day is generated for the state's economy from the waterfowl season's two-month period. According to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, an estimated $5 billion of value was added to the outdoor recreation industry in 2024. This makes up 2.6% of the state's gross domestic product. In 2025, Five Rivers took over the Corning Publishing location at U.S. 67 and Bobcat Lane. At the Corning headquarters, Five Rivers will continue to produce G&H Decoys, alongside three other brands Five Rivers acquired in 2025, including Dogg Company, Deception Decoys and Herbert's Custom Decoy Rigs, the news release stated. In February 2024, Five Rivers purchased G&H decoys from its parent company, relocating the 92-year-old brand from Henrietta, Okla., to Arkansas. Several manufacturers and retailers have left Corning in recent years including Walmart, Corning Publishing Company, L.A. Darling Company, Basler Electric and more. According to the news release, Five Rivers has invested more than $2.1 million in buying, relocating and restarting G&H. You're one step away from the full story.
