Супруга Ховарда Стерна пытается поддержать шок-джокера на фоне слухов о закрытии его канала

Howard Stern‘s wife, Beth Stern, is doing everything she can to help him cope as rumors swirl that one of his longtime Sirius XM channels could be coming to an end. The shock jock currently has two channels on Sirius XM: Howard 100, which features his live shows and new content, and Howard 101, which is home to old interviews and clips from his 20-year history. As Globe previously reported, the Howard 101 channel is in “grave danger” of being dropped entirely, sources told The U.S. Sun. (Last December, Howard announced he had just signed a new three-year contract with Sirius XM for his Howard 100 channel.) “Howard has begrudgingly accepted that it’s time to scale things back, but now there are all these rumors that [the Howard 101 channel] may end up flat out cancelled, and that’s doing nothing for his mood,” a source exclusively tells Globe. Despite scaling down on live shows, according to the source, the Private Parts star, 72, isn’t ready to step away from the microphone. “He still wants to work and he wants to go out on his terms,” the source continues. “So having to play this waiting game where he feels like the bosses are holding his future in their hands and capriciously deciding his fate is a nightmare.” The source says that the situation has left Howard feeling “powerless,” which is “probably the hardest part for him to accept.” “It’s putting a dark cloud over his summer,” the source adds. “Normally, he’s the life and soul of the party, but he’s just so preoccupied, it’s hard for him to relax.” While Howard is wrestling with uncertainty, Beth, 54, has been trying to offer support, but the source shares that it hasn’t been easy. “Poor Beth is trying to help, but it’s very difficult because he’s such a ball of stress right now,” the source says. “It’s to the point where she’s tiptoeing around him, which is not the way things usually are at all.”
