HousingWire has created a dedicated Insights function to centralize research and data operations across its portfolio, naming Bill Sullivan head of Insights effective immediately. Sullivan moves into the role from Keeping Current Matters (KCM), where he served as executive vice president of growth. He previously held executive leadership roles at Family Office Exchange and Capgemini, where he led market intelligence for financial services clients. Sullivan will report to HousingWire CEO Clayton Collins. The new function brings HousingWire’s franchise research under one roof, including the Housing Market Tracker and home price forecast built on Altos Research data, and the agent and broker sentiment surveys from RealTrends. The group will own standards and publishing cadence for these assets and work with product and editorial leaders to embed them directly into HousingWire Intelligence and KCM products. Sullivan will also convene a Data and Research Committee with leaders from across the company to set shared priorities for HousingWire’s data and research investments. For subscribers, the move is designed to deliver research on the same timeline that markets move and to surface insights inside existing workflows, rather than in separate, stand-alone reports. That includes decision-ready analytics for mortgage and real estate executives and client-facing content for producers working with buyers and sellers. “The housing industry does not have a data shortage. It has a translation problem,” said Collins. “The executives running mortgage and real estate businesses need insights they can build a plan on. The producers working with homebuyers and sellers need something they can put in front of a client this week. The launch comes as lenders, servicers and real estate brokerages are under pressure to navigate volatile rates, constrained inventory and shifting affordability. Centralizing HousingWire’s data assets — including high-frequency market signals from Altos Research and sentiment data from RealTrends — is aimed at giving operators and producers a single, consistent view of market conditions that can be used across strategic planning, sales management and consumer education. For housing professionals, the move signals that more of HousingWire’s proprietary data and analysis will show up inside everyday tools and presentations, rather than only in news stories or static reports, potentially shortening the time from market signal to action at the branch and agent level.
