Возвращение легендарного фестиваля HOT ROD Power Fest 2026 в Джорджию

Inside HOT ROD Power Fest 2026: An In-Depth Look at the Cars and Action The legacy HOT ROD event that helped spawn Power Tour returned to Georgia for two days of racing, show cars, cruising, horsepower, and the people who make this hobby what it is. Some mothballed events deserve another shot, and after spending decades on the shelf, HOT ROD Power Fest finally got one. For two days, EchoPark Speedway in Hampton, Georgia, became home base for something that hadn’t occupied a spot on our calendar in many years. Last weekend, the speedway played host to hot rods, muscle cars, trucks, late-model machines, race cars, show cars, and the people who build, drive, modify, and enjoy them. Power Fest combined a large car show with autocross, Pit Road Drags, a Saturday cruise, a few vendors, food, and enough going on throughout the speedway’s infield that entrants could spend the weekend moving from one attraction to another as Friday rolled into Saturday. And, as the cool kids say, the whole thing definitely was a vibe. That’s probably the simplest way to describe Power Fest 2026 once all of those pieces were operating at the same time. If the formula sounds familiar, there’s a reason. The revived Power Fest incorporates some of HOT ROD Power Tour’s all-inclusive appeal without requiring everyone to pack up and drive to another city every morning. The racing also adds some MotorTrend Presents Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge flavor. It pulls recognizable elements from both to revive a HOT ROD show with considerable history of its own. Power Fest Was Here Before Power Tour HOT ROD Power Festival made its debut in 1994 with stops at Norwalk Raceway Park in Ohio, Indianapolis, and Atlanta. From the beginning, the idea was much more than parking cars in rows and handing out trophies. Readers, cool machinery, manufacturers, and HOT ROD staff occupied the same grounds, giving editors an opportunity to find cars and people for the magazine, while everyone else spent the weekend immersed in the hobby. One year later, in an effort to draw more attention to the 1995 Power Festival, the staff decided to drive its project and personal cars from Los Angeles to Ohio and invited readers to join along the way. Crusher Camaro, Cheap Thrills Dart, the Budget Beater Model A, Gray Baskerville’s ’32 Ford roadster, and other staff cars hit the highway for what became the inaugural HOT ROD Power Tour. Seven non-staffers completed the roughly 2,800-mile trip and became the original Long Haul Gang before the caravan rolled into Norwalk. Power Tour subsequently grew into one of our signature events and eventually became far bigger than the Fest it was created to promote.
