Owner Melissa Dekerlegand has operated Holy Heaven Cookies for nearly six years, including out of her home and from a stall at the Lynchburg Community Market. Now, she is preparing to transform the new space into something she says she's been planning for years. “We’re going with like a heaven theme, which is something I’ve always wanted to do,” Dekerlegand said. “I don’t want to share too much. I want you guys to be surprised and excited when you see it. But it’s something really, really pretty.” The new location will offer more than cookies. Holy Heaven Cookies plans to serve Homestead Creamery ice cream and Grains of Sense coffee. Dekerlegand hopes to hold the grand opening sometime next month.
