Hirain Technologies and Arbe Robotics have secured a contract from an unnamed automaker to supply imaging radar for a level 3 automated driving programme covering multiple brands within the group. The initiative targets passenger vehicles in China, with series-production radar deliveries set to commence in the fourth quarter of 2027, preceding the vehicles' start of production. Under the agreement, Hirain will handle manufacturing, supply and integration of the radar system, leveraging its automotive manufacturing infrastructure to oversee system development, integration, validation and quality assurance.
