Грэмми-лауреат Генри Роллинс станет ведущим 25-й церемонии наград Parnelli

LAS VEGAS – Grammy Award-winning artist, author, actor, and spoken word artist Henry Rollins will be the host for the 25th Anniversary Parnelli Awards that will take place in in conjunction with NAMM at the Anaheim Convention Center on Jan. 29, 2027. More details from the Parnelli Awards (www.parnelliawards.com): “A legendary anniversary requires a legendary host,” says Parnelli Chair Butch Allen. “Throughout his career, Henry Rollins has loudly championed the people who actually do the work and maintained a healthy, occasionally volcanic contempt for rock-star bullshit. So, naturally, we gave him a microphone. Strap in, friends. It’s about to get real.” Rollins started out as a roadie himself with bands in his hometown of D.C. He would move to L.A. in 1981 and join preeminent and influential punk band Black Flag. After that group disbanded in 1986, he toured as a spoken word artist and then recorded and toured with The Henry Rollins Band for years. He would release Get in the Van: On the Road with Black Flag, a double-disk set of him reading from his tour diary of the same name. He would win a Grammy for best spoken word recording for that in 1994. Also that year, he made his acting debut in the movie The Chase. Other films he’s been in include Heat, Johnny Mnemonic, and Lost Highway. He also has made numerous TV performances including on M-TV and VH1 and the television shows Welcome to Paradox, Californication, Portlandia, and season two of Sons of Anarchy. He’s also done voice over work for American Dad! And the 2000 animated movie Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. In the 1990s he reformed his band and recorded Get Some Go Again, and several more albums. The band appeared on Saturday Night Live in 1997. From 2004 to 2009 he hosted a weekly radio show Harmony in My Head on Indie 103.1 in L.A. In 2009, he hosted a live weekly show on L.A.’s KCRW. He’s also a podcaster. A prolific author, he has several books out including the Stay Fanatic!!! series. This March he’ll publish Bait Dog Boy, about growing up in D.C. in the 1960s and 1970s. Since 2001, scores of our highest achievers and most admired innovators in the live event/concert touring industry have been awarded a Parnelli Award. The award recognizes pioneering, influential professionals and their contributions, honoring individuals, companies, and game-changing product. This 25th Anniversary of the Parnelli Awards will be held in conjunction with NAMM at the Anaheim Convention Center on January 29.
