В Лондоне выставлен на продажу исторический особняк в Риджентс-парке за 15 миллионов фунтов

London’s Regent’s Park is famously surrounded by stately terraces—the majority of which were designed by 19th-century British architect John Nash. Hanover Terrace, his Grade I-listed Regency-style masterpiece on the western side of the park’s outer circle, exudes neoclassical elegance with a white stucco facade, Roman Doric columns, and a decorative ground-floor loggia. It offers 20 homes in total, including one particularly stylish six-story abode with a separate mews house and private walled garden. Conveniently positioned between Marylebone and St John’s Wood, the spread elegantly balances old with new and has been restored to an extremely high standard. Nash’s original wrought-iron work, oak balustrading, cornicing, sash windows, and fireplaces are complemented by mod cons such as air conditioning, heated floors, and an alarm system. The main residence includes five bedrooms plus ample entertaining space. A grand entrance hall leads to a formal dining room with aged dark oak flooring and a long table for 10. Steps away sits a contemporary kitchen with sleek cabinetry, marble-topped counters, a matching marble island, and both Gaggenau and Miele appliances. Another dining room occupies the rear of the ground floor, offering a built-in bar and direct access to the 57-foot-long landscaped garden. A 23-foot balcony and generous terrace sit between the rooms, providing exceptional views of the yard below and the nearby park (also designed by Nash). The primary suite covers the entire second floor, with a huge walk-in closet and a generous bathroom featuring a marble-finished bathtub. Another three bedrooms are spread across the third floor, while a final bedroom for staff sits on the lower ground floor near the living and media rooms. A separate mews house with white brickwork and expansive glazing sits directly across the garden from the main residence. Covering just shy of 1,200 square feet, the interiors were completely reimagined by London-based interior designer Laura Hammett. The open layout includes reception, dining, and kitchen areas on the lower level and two en-suite bedrooms on the upper. Battered during WWII but later restored, Hanover Terrace is steeped in history. Three of the 20 homes carry coveted “blue plaques,” including one for late, great sci-fi author H. G. Wells, who lived at No. 13 from 1933 until his death in 1946. Other former residents of the terrace include artist Damien Hirst and author Charles Dickens. The present home is available for 15 million British pounds, or about $20.4 million, with Aston Chase. Click here for more images of the Regent’s Park home.
