В Хэннибале пройдет фестиваль «Большая грязевая яма» для детей перед началом учебного года

Hannibal to host Big Dirt Dig for kids before school starts Published 3:00 pm Thursday, August 13, 2026 HANNIBAL — Children will get the chance to dig into piles of sand and dirt at the Big Dirt Dig, an event planned for Aug. 22 offering hands-on outdoor play before the start of the school year. The event will run from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Street Department maintenance facility, 701 Warren Barrett Drive. It will be held under a large Quonset hut, so it will proceed regardless of weather. The city of Hannibal will provide large piles of sand and dirt for children to dig through and will have several maintenance trucks on display. Children are encouraged to bring their own shovels, buckets, trucks, and other digging toys. The event is sponsored by Hannibal Parks & Recreation, the Hannibal Street Department, and Parents as Teachers.
