GeoComm и Brecourt объединились для создания автономных дронов с точным позиционированием для служб спасения

Partnership brings together indoor first autonomous drone technology and trusted location intelligence to help security teams and responders better understand critical incidents inside complex facilities. ST. CLOUD, Minn. and LIBERTYVILLE, Ill., Aug. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- GeoComm, a leader in public safety grade location intelligence, and Brecourt Solutions, developer of the iDFR™ Indoor Drone as First Responder platform, today announced a partnership to connect indoor autonomous drone response with public safety grade location intelligence. The partnership is designed to help security teams and first responders gain faster, more actionable awareness during critical incidents inside buildings and other GPS-denied environments. By combining Brecourt's mobile, real-time indoor threat awareness with GeoComm's trusted mapping and location intelligence, organizations can better understand what is happening, where it is happening, and how to support a more informed response. Brecourt's iDFR™ platform combines indoor drones with computer vision, live video streaming, and remote operation, designed to work alongside a customer's existing platforms and workflows, whatever their use case. The drones are installed and pre-positioned inside the facility on a dedicated charging platform, always ready for immediate deployment — infrastructure, not equipment brought in by responders. The drones are remotely piloted by a trained operator — operating from the customer's own security operations center or through a remote monitoring provider, with AI Assist, reducing operator workload while piloting the system in indoor and close-quarters environments. Beyond security, the platform supports the broader mission of facility teams — safety, logistics, inventory, building management, and more. Designed for GPS-denied indoor environments, the platform gives operators a fast, mobile source of real-time visual information during critical incidents. GeoComm's public safety grade location intelligence provides the indoor mapping and location context needed to help translate that visual intelligence into a clearer operational picture. Together, the technologies can help connect detection, deployment, tracking, location, and response within the same critical-incident workflow. "Inside a complex facility, seeing an incident is only part of the challenge. Responders also need to understand exactly where that incident is unfolding and have location information they can trust," said Mac McElvaney, Chief Product and Innovation Officer at GeoComm. "By pairing Brecourt's indoor drone capabilities with GeoComm's public safety grade location intelligence, we can help create a more connected path from real-time awareness to informed response." The partnership expands the role of location intelligence within emerging autonomous security workflows. Rather than treating drone video, threat detection, indoor mapping, and response coordination as separate capabilities, GeoComm and Brecourt are working to create a more unified operational picture for security teams and public safety professionals. "First responders make life saving decisions with the information they have available. By combining GeoComm's indoor mapping with Brecourt's rapid indoor robotic response, we're helping deliver better information faster so responders can act with greater confidence when every second counts," said Jeff Ross, Founder and Chief Operating Officer, Brecourt Solutions. About Brecourt Solutions Brecourt Solutions is a technology company advancing how organizations protect and inspect complex indoor environments. Founded by former special operations veterans and technology leaders, Brecourt develops robotic systems designed to extend human reach, improve situational awareness, and reduce the time and risk associated with responding to problems inside buildings. Brecourt's flagship platform, Indoor Drone as a First Responder (iDFR™), provides a prepositioned aerial capability that can deploy in seconds for security response, inspections, incident assessment, and other operational needs. By combining robotics, remote operations, intelligent software, and purpose-built indoor infrastructure, Brecourt is making difficult, dangerous, and time-consuming indoor tasks faster, safer, and easier to accomplish.
