September 6, 2026 11:26 by Grace Morrell Grace Morrell  Yesterday, Impact had the pleasure of being invited to try out the new Gameshow Allstars bar, coming to Nottingham after its success in Leeds and Sheffield. With a city full of night entertainment, Gameshow Allstars adds something new to the roster, delivering a polished, fun night, whilst also allowing you to get competitive with your friends. However, it’s not just good for a night out, if you want a change from golf and bowling with your family, then this is definitely the place for you. Gameshow Allstars is bringing quizzing fun to real life, where you can play seven different minigames – all based off of different quiz shows (such as Who Wants to be a Millionaire? ) in a group of up to five people. With this, there’s enough variety for everyone to be good at something, and there is enough variety in beverages (cocktails, mocktails, soft drinks, etc.) for anyone to enjoy. With tickets priced at £14 per student (and 50% off on its first 500 tickets discount), we can say with certainty from Impact it is definitely worthwhile.  The staff most certainly help make the place what it is, and without them, arguably the place would not have as much charm as it does Our personal favourites at Impact are the Traitors Tipple (spiced vodka-based), the Bushtucker Trial (rum-based) and the Daddy Guinness (Baileys and Kahlua). The best bit about the cocktails is that sometimes, the staff will assign a small task for you to either act out or do, and it gets you a nice discount off your next round of drinks – which is always worthwhile. Another area which is to die for in terms of Gameshow Allstars is its food. We got to try their classic margherita ( The Warm Up Round ) and the Triple Threat, both of which were absolutely amazing and well worth their price for definite. Whilst we only took a sneak peek at their nachos and garlic bread, we guarantee they are worthwhile.  When you walk into Gameshow Allstars, it is not too big and does not necessarily feel too crowded. The initial ambiance is great, with the staff ensuring that everyone knows what they are doing, and what’s happening as soon as they settle you down. With nice neon lighting and with the wonderful cardboard cut outs of Bradley Walsh and Ant & Dec (among many others) scattered around the games, there are many opportunities for a good photo and a place to sit (or stand). Another great thing about Gameshow Allstars is that the music and noise is not too overwhelming, which is perfect for those who might feel initially worried or nervous.  Robin guided us around Gameshow Allstars, who, alongside the rest of the staff, was very kind and attentive. With a bit of witty humour along the way, we manoeuvred through different minigames, and with a bit of competitively-induced rage (and with some fun moments with the staff pointing out answers, throwing balls at different areas in Trolley Dash for us), we definitely enjoyed our time there. The staff most certainly help make the place what it is, and without them, arguably the place would not have as much charm as it does.  Overall, we would definitely recommend students, families, and anyone who enjoys a good gameshow to come and test their luck at Gameshow Allstars. With a variety of games (so that really, anyone can win with a good bit of luck too), and a highly welcoming staff, Gameshow Allstars could be well on its way to becoming a main attraction within Nottingham’s city centre, and possibly even pushing a different way to have a night out rather than the usual golf, bowling or drinking.  From us, its a 5 out of 5!
