Бывший мэр Детройта Майк Дуган стал партнером юридической фирмы Honigman

DETROIT – Former Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan announced Friday he is joining a law firm. Duggan, who has served as mayor for 12 years, announced on Friday that he is joining Honigman as a partner in its Government Relations and Public Policy practice. This comes months after Duggan ended his Independent bid for Michigan’s governor in the 2026 election. Honigman is a Detroit-based law firm founded in 1948, with offices across Michigan, Chicago, Washington, DC, and Israel. “After years spent working to build Detroit, Sonia and I knew we wanted to stay in the city we love,” Duggan said in a statement. “This gives me the opportunity to keep doing the kind of work I’ve always enjoyed: solving difficult problems and helping people find a way forward.” You can read his full announcement below: “I’ve spent most of my career working on problems that didn’t have easy answers. In every role, I learned the same lesson: complicated problems get solved when you bring the right people together. I’m pleased to share that I’ve joined Honigman as a partner in its Government Relations and Public Policy practice. Honigman has been headquartered in Detroit for more than 75 years and today has more than 400 attorneys serving clients across the country and beyond. I’ll be working with its attorneys and clients on complex business, government, economic development and community issues. After years spent working to build Detroit, Sonia and I knew we wanted to stay in the city we love. This gives me the opportunity to keep doing the kind of work I’ve always enjoyed: solving difficult problems and helping people find a way forward. I’m proud to join another great Detroit institution and ready to get to work." Mike Duggan via social media
