Эффективное управление автопарком: как сервисные компании HVACR экономят ресурсы и избегают штрафов

Element Fleet Management VP, Michelle Way, explains the benefits of fleet management for HVACR businesses. HVACR businesses of all sizes must stay on top of company vehicle management to stay successful. Service calls to homes and businesses cannot be completed if the trucks, vans, and cars your employees use are unavailable or require emergency maintenance. You also need to keep all vehicles in your fleet in compliance with registration and insurance requirements and equipped with all the tools service professionals need. While balancing hiring, training, customer service, accounting, and the countless other responsibilities required of a HVACR leader, handing over fleet management responsibilities to a trusted third party is a smart choice to protect your company's reputation and bottom line. What are the signs it’s time to explore fleet management? Frequent scheduling conflicts and/or ill-timed vehicle downtime. Vehicles missing routine service and/or requiring emergency repair due to lack of preventative maintenance. Disorganised expense tracking and reimbursement processes. Valuable time spent manually entering and tracking vehicle data. Challenges sourcing the right vehicles to expand or replace your fleet. Missed regulatory deadlines, leading to penalties and fines. How can fleet management providers solve these challenges? Lifecycle management – this includes assessing the status and health of your current fleet, connecting you with OEMs to provide the right new vehicles at lucrative prices, and determining when a vehicle needs to be replaced. Upfitting – fleet management partners can also connect you with providers who can ensure trucks and vans in your repair fleet can house all the tools your employees need to make service calls. Monitoring maintenance schedules & identifying issues – keeping your fleet healthy is critical to business success. Fleet managers can track when vehicles are due for regular service and even monitor overall health to spot potential issues before they become costly emergency repairs. Organizing expenses & billing – many costs are associated with managing a company vehicle fleet and a fleet management partner can aggregate expenses for fuel, service, and incidentals onto a single bill, making accounting and reimbursement needs easy to understand and act on. Manage regulatory compliance – depending on the size of your fleet and service area, you may need to navigate registration and insurance requirements for multiple states and territories. In Australia, this can become particularly complex for HVACR businesses operating across jurisdictions such as NSW, VIC and QLD, where registration requirements and renewal processes can differ significantly. Without a coordinated approach, common issues such as missed renewals, fragmented tolling and administration, and gaps in oversight can lead to avoidable fines, downtime, and operational disruption. Fleet management partners can help centralise compliance tracking, support roadworthiness standards, and ensure service vehicles remain properly equipped and fit for purpose. Working with a fleet management partner can deliver immediate benefits, undoing bottlenecks within your operations and identifying opportunities for cost savings. It can also be the first step in a lucrative long-term relationship that grows as your business does.  About the Author Michelle Way is the vice president of Element Fleet Essentials at Element Fleet Management.
