Damuli Investment Company Ltd. has disbursed N100 million to 1,700 beneficiaries across Yobe State as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme aimed at supporting livelihoods and promoting economic empowerment. The company said the intervention was designed to provide practical support to vulnerable individuals and households across the state’s geopolitical zones and Local Government Areas, with the aim of strengthening household incomes and improving economic self-reliance. The Chairman of Damuli Investment Company Ltd., Liman A. Dabuwa Machina, who led the distribution of the funds, said the initiative was driven by the company’s belief that businesses should contribute to the wellbeing of the communities in which they operate. “At Damuli Investment Company Ltd., we believe that the success of any organization is closely connected to the well-being of the communities it serves. “We therefore regard giving back not merely as a corporate responsibility, but as a shared commitment to the future of Yobe State,” he said. The company said the N100 million disbursement was intended to help beneficiaries improve their livelihoods and create opportunities for greater economic stability. Damuli also commended Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, for his administration’s efforts towards promoting peace, economic development and youth empowerment. He said the state government’s focus on education, skills acquisition, entrepreneurship, employment and human capital development was critical to expanding opportunities for young people and strengthening the state’s economic prospects. The company said the intervention demonstrated how private sector resources could be deployed to create tangible social impact, adding that it would continue to engage with the state government, traditional institutions, communities, youths and other stakeholders on initiatives that promote shared prosperity.
