Firehouse Stage announces Phase Two expansion project updates JOHNSON CITY, N.Y. (WBNG) -- Naima Kradjian, CEO of the Goodwill Theatre, shared community updates regarding Phase Two of the Firehouse building renovation and expansion project. She discussed the live music lineup for the 2026–2027 season, which is offering a wide range of genres at affordable prices. The lineup features three world-premiere theatrical works, including two in development and one heading Off-Broadway in December. Additionally, eight comedy shows, 10 jazz concerts, 13 music performances, four kid-friendly dinosaur shows and two free community events are scheduled. “We’re doing a complete expansion by 300%, so we’ll be adding a theatre on the third floor that will hold 300 people. And then we’ll be bringing in bigger entertainment. It will also increase the lounge area. We got our liquor license last year, so now we do canned cocktails and things like that, in addition to our very popular popcorn,” said Goodwill Theatre Inc. CEO Naima Kradjian. The musical offerings kick off on Sept. 21 with the return of the popular enJOY Jazz monthly series. This local favorite, showcasing regional and national talent, will run through June 2027, alongside the annual Al Hamme Memorial Jazz Concert on April 25. The season schedule will feature a variety of musical acts, entertaining performances and tributes. Kradjian also explained the theatre scheduled a world premiere of a new holiday musical called Neil Burg’s Tim & Scrooge. “We have a lot of wonderful community theatre in town, and they do traditional musicals with local people. That’s why we don’t do that. We bring in acts that people would miss, that they’d have to travel to see, but we keep our prices low so that people can come often,” Kradjian said. Organizers hope the diverse selection of country, folk and jazz acts will bring high-quality entertainment to the local community. “I think people will really be excited about the programming this year. So, I want everybody to get the scoop. Buy your tickets early, because that way you can get your favorite seat,” Kradjian said.
