Ирландный дистиллерат Boatyard Distillery вышел на индийский рынок

A FERMANAGH distillery has expanded into the Indian market as it continues to grow its international presence. Boatyard Distillery, based on the banks of Lough Erne, has partnered with Dutch Courage Spirits to distribute its products in India, according to a report published by FoodNI. The initial focus will be on leading bars, restaurants and hotels in areas including Mumbai, Delhi, Goa and Karnataka. Making moves Managing Director, Declan McGurk, said developing strong relationships was an important part of building the company’s export business. “Growing export sales is something that really takes time and you’ve got to build up a rapport and relationships,” he said. “India is very relationship focused.” FoodNI reported that the move comes amid growing interest in premium and craft spirits in India, with international drinks companies seeking to increase their presence in the market. The local distillery, founded by Enniskillen man Joe McGirr, produces gin and vodka at its base on the shores of Lough Erne. Local success story The Boatyard Distillery has also received international recognition for its products in recent years. Its Double Gin was ranked second in the Top Trending Gin category in the Drinks International Brands Report 2025. The report, compiled following a survey of leading bars around the world, tracks the brands attracting attention among bartenders and consumers in the international drinks industry. Boatyard was also placed sixth in Drinks International’s Bartenders’ Choice rankings for 2024. The company has previously said recognition from bartenders working in leading establishments around the world is significant as it continues to develop its reputation outside Ireland. The move into India represents another overseas market for spirits distilled and produced in Fermanagh.
