Exclusive: ‘Bunker Heights’ Trailer Unleashes Crime, Comedy and Creatures Crime. Comedy. Creatures. Dread Central has the exclusive trailer debut for Bunker Heights, a new creature feature that sounds like someone threw C.H.U.D. and Lethal Weapon into a blender and hit puree. Set in a once-thriving Midwestern city overrun by corruption, organized crime, and violence, Bunker Heights follows burned-out homicide detective Derek Tucker (Drew Fortier) as a routine investigation spirals into a nightmare involving a botched bank robbery, political assassination, and a horrifying secret beneath the city streets. Inspired by cult classics such as C.H.U.D., The Return of the Living Dead, and Tremors, Bunker Heights combines practical creature effects, outrageous humor, monster mayhem, and offbeat charm into a throwback genre experience celebrating the creature features and horror-comedies of the 1980s and 1990s. Written and directed by Drew Fortier, Bunker Heights stars Hannah Fierman, instantly recognizable to horror fans as Lily from David Bruckner’s unforgettable V/H/S segment “Amateur Night.” She’s joined by Chaney Morrow (Haunt), Paul T. Taylor (Hellraiser: Judgment), and Floyd Ewing Jr. (The Dead Next Door), with Violent J of Insane Clown Posse, Vinnie Dombroski of Sponge, and former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson. Bunker Heights will be released worldwide on Blu-ray, DVD, and digital through MVD Entertainment on October 13, 2026. Blu-ray and DVD pre-orders are available now. And MVD is giving physical-media fans plenty to dig into. The 2-disc Limited Edition Blu-ray includes the 106-minute Director’s Cut, an exclusive 121-minute Extended Cut, and the 80-minute feature-length documentary Amateur Hacks: Making Bunker Heights, chronicling the film’s production from conception through post-production with nearly 30 cast and crew interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.
