Emami Limited plans to quadruple the revenue contribution of its strategic investments to approximately 25% of consolidated turnover by FY30. Speaking at the company’s 43rd Annual General Meeting on August 25, 2026, R.S. Goenka, Founder & Non Executive Chairman of Emami Limited, stated that these strategic ventures, which contributed 6% to turnover in FY26, are projected to reach 16% in FY27. The expansion is anchored by recent majority stake acquisitions in early FY27, including Axiom Ayurveda, makers of AloFrut, and IncNut Digital, bringing direct to consumer (D2C) personalised wellness brands Vedix and SkinKraft into Emami’s portfolio.
Goenka emphasised that the investments aim to provide founder led brands with patient capital, marketing and distribution expertise to scale sustainably alongside Emami’s legacy business. Driven by this hybrid growth model, new age and mainstream brands now represent 21% of Emami’s domestic revenue, up from 7% in FY20. Simultaneously, strategic brand extensions across core lines such as Zandu, Kesh King, BoroPlus and Dermicool have pushed the share of non seasonal products in the domestic business to 56%, reducing reliance on seasonal sales cycles.
To capture changing consumer discovery habits, Emami has reallocated more than 50% of its total above the line (ATL) advertising budget to digital channels. The company is also rolling out three key digital transformation programmes: Project SETU for supply chain planning, SalesCode.AI for field force optimisation and an enterprise Analytics Hub for data driven decision making.
These initiatives follow Emami’s FY26 performance, during which consolidated revenue stood at ₹3,779 crore, with EBITDA at ₹964 crore, representing a 25.5% margin, and net profit at ₹775 crore. The company maintained a virtually debt free balance sheet, with ₹883 crore in net cash surplus as of March 31, 2026.
Emami also reported a 15% year on year increase in Q1 FY27 consolidated revenue to ₹1,039 crore, driven by a 20% increase in domestic sales, including 12% like for like growth. Organised trade grew 19% to account for 32% of the domestic business, while quick commerce accounted for 35% of total e commerce sales.
Despite margin pressures from elevated packaging and crude oil costs, Q1 EBITDA increased 6% to ₹226 crore. The company expects growth to be supported by urban premiumisation, digital scaling and a broad based recovery in rural demand.
