Stories From Our Donors “ I looked at the charities around and decided to donate it to WSHU. I have listened to many hours of WSHU: “Click and Clack, the Tappet brothers”. Both my wife and I have listened to the crazy car issues of the callers and laughed at their jokes, “Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!”, hosted by Peter Sagal, “Marketplace” by Kai Ryssdal and the list goes on. I thought this would be a small way for me to contribute to the mission of NPR.” "When I became a hospice chaplain, it often drove me 200 miles a day when I went around 12 counties to see patients. It had almost 250,000 miles on it — and still drove — when I donated it to WSHU. That van didn’t owe me anything. I hope it contributed a good amount to your fine programming.” “I gave it to [my daughter] to drive while she was in high school and now she just graduated college and we’re looking for a new car so I decided to donate it to WSHU, one of my favorite public radio stations that I listen to on my way home and my way to work every day so thank you so much!” Frequently Asked Questions How to donate a vehicle in CT or NY? If your vehicle sells for more than $500 and you want to claim the full amount when itemizing taxes, an IRS Form 1098-C, Contributions of Motor Vehicles, Boats, and Airplanes will be mailed to you.
