Created by the late great Terry Pratchett, the Discworld franchise is one of the most beloved in the history of literature. Oh, and the elephants just so happen to be standing on the backs of some turtles. First appearing back in 1983 with The Color of Magic and coming to an end in 2015 with The Shepherd's Crown, which was published posthumously, the Discworld series not only become synonymous with Pratchett, but went onto inspire plenty of the fantasy novels we know and love today.
