Профессор из Университета Северной Каролины связала некоторые НЛО с демонической деятельностью

University of North Carolina Wilmington religious studies professor Diana Pasulka has described a possible demonic UFO connection in some reported UFO encounters, pointing to what she called 'poltergeist-type activity' and accounts of entities appearing to communicate without moving their mouths. Pasulka discussed the idea on a 4 September 2026 episode of That UFO Podcast, in which she addressed UFO disclosure, non-human intelligence, and reports of unexplained disturbances linked to certain anomalous experiences. She stressed that any possible connection would apply only to certain cases, not every UFO report. Pasulka's Paranormal Research Pasulka described traits she said appear in traditional accounts of demonic possession, including levitation and apparent communication in different languages without visible speech. In explaining the comparison, she said, 'You see an entity that seems to know your thoughts and can speak any language and can speak with you without moving their mouth.' She also referred to physical disturbances that she associated with some UFO experiences. 'You also see things that are poltergeist-type of activity, you know, things flying and knocks on, you know, walls and scary things like that. So yeah, you do see this with certain UFO experiences.' According to biographical accounts, occultist Marjorie Cameron interpreted the 1952 Washington UFO sightings as a spiritual response to the death of her husband, rocketry pioneer Jack Parsons, who was associated with Aleister Crowley's Thelema. Her remarks did not present a demonic explanation as applying universally. Instead, she said the apparent overlap was something she was reluctant to state too broadly and limited the comparison to particular experiences. Her comments offered an interpretation of unexplained reports rather than evidence establishing their cause. Religious Parallels The idea that UFO reports could have a spiritual or demonic dimension predates Pasulka's comments. Seraphim Rose, an American Eastern Orthodox hieromonk, argued in his book Orthodoxy and the Religion of the Future that unidentified entities associated with such experiences were demonic signs and part of what he viewed as an occult influence. Other figures have advanced similar interpretations through religious or occult frameworks. Occultist Marjorie Cameron reportedly interpreted the 1952 Washington UFO sightings as a response to the recent death of her partner, rocketry pioneer Jack Parsons, a follower of Aleister Crowley. Faith healer and evangelist Walter V. Grant Sr also argued in a mid-20th-century booklet, Men in the Flying Saucers Identified: Not a Mystery!, that UFOs had a demonic explanation. British UFO writer Gordon Creighton later promoted supernatural interpretations of unidentified phenomena. Returns to the Disclosure Debate Pasulka's remarks came during a discussion of what might follow if governments formally disclosed information about unidentified flying objects and non-human intelligence. Her research, according to the account, reshaped how she viewed faith, spirituality and the possibility of realities beyond the physical world. Pasulka said she regarded the anomalous experiences she discussed as real, while offering no independently verified explanation for their cause. The account says she saw a possible link but did not want to extend that interpretation to every unexplained encounter, thereby limiting her claim to a subset of cases. Even so, she did not say disclosure itself should automatically be regarded as frightening. Her focus was narrower, centred on certain experiences in which reported behaviour appeared to resemble descriptions found in religious traditions. A similar interpretation was publicly voiced in March 2026 by US Vice-President JD Vance. During an interview with conservative commentator Benny Johnson, Vance said, 'I don't think they're aliens; I think they're demons anyway, but that's a longer discussion.' He subsequently explained that he tended to interpret unexplained or 'extra-natural' phenomena in light of his Christian beliefs.
