Daytoner’s Mech Portraits Prove That Sci-Fi Character Design Can Be Both Brutal and Beautiful Daytoner is Daniel Hahn, a concept artist whose credits include Epic Games, Bungie, Universal, Blur Entertainment, Archetype Entertainment, The Mill, and Otherside. Hahn’s passion for art grew out of obsessive sketching and graffiti in his youth, which evolved into a career designing mechs, robots, and sci-fi characters for major entertainment studios. His signature focus is mecha and robot design — his portfolio includes detailed “mech portraits” compiled into his own art book, and pieces like “X4N,” a sci-fi character built to balance power, mobility, and a clean, futuristic silhouette.
