Дочь исцелена от искривления ног благодаря молитве

Daughter healed of bowed legs Original content on Christian Science written for this column by one of our readers. Audio read by a member of our audio team. I have been a student of Christian Science for many years and have relied on it for healing all kinds of problems. I am most grateful for a fuller understanding of God and His creation, gained through the study and practice of this divine Science. I first began reading “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures” and other writings by Mary Baker Eddy when I was newly married and expecting our first child. At the time, we were living in another country, and I saw these books amongst my husband’s books when looking for something to read. I became inspired by Mrs. Eddy’s explanation of our relation to God, Spirit, and of the fact that, as Spirit’s creation, we are spiritual. I also soon understood and accepted the concept explained in Science and Health of perfect God and perfect man – that because God, who is perfect, created us, we reflect His perfection. Mrs. Eddy writes, “The Christlike understanding of scientific being and divine healing includes a perfect Principle and idea, – perfect God and perfect man, – as the basis of thought and demonstration” (p. 259). I endeavored to put this into practice in my own life. When our daughter was a toddler, it became apparent that her legs were quite bowed. My father-in-law was concerned and asked my husband and me to take her to a specialist to see what could be done. After examining her, the doctor recommended that our daughter wear a steel brace when sleeping. It was thought that, in time, the legs would be straightened with the use of this device. When we went to pick up the brace, my husband and I realized that we wanted to rely on Christian Science for healing. We decided not to use the brace and called a Christian Science practitioner for treatment through prayer. The practitioner was very clear about our daughter’s status as the perfect child of perfect God, and we stayed with that concept of her in our prayers. I remember being inspired by the thought that all action originates with ever-present and omni-active God, good, so our daughter was the expression of good and harmonious action. After some days of prayer, there was noticeable improvement in her legs, and a complete healing soon followed. This healing continues to be a beacon for me. I have witnessed healings of many physical problems in our family, such as skin cancer, colds, flu, sprained ligaments, and food poisoning. I was also healed of grief after my husband’s passing and have recently married again. I am grateful beyond words for the blessings in my life stemming from the understanding that the kingdom of God is here and now. You can find the Bible and “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy at a local Christian Science Reading Room or in our online shop. Going forward, these weekday articles offering a Christian Science perspective on our lives and the world are being published without a byline and read for audio by our audio team. Each Saturday this column will feature a poem with the byline and recorded for audio by the author. In both cases, the goal is the same, to bring a touch of God’s healing light into the lives of our readers through the shared thoughts and healing demonstrations of fellow readers.
