Cross-stitch enthusiasts gather in Greenville to mark World Cross Stitch Day GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Dozens of cross-stitch enthusiasts gathered Friday at Brook Valley Country Club to celebrate World Cross-Stitch Day. Flossie Floozies, a group centered around a shared interest in cross-stitching, organized the event. About 45 people from across the state attended the all-day event, which included vendors, an opportunity for attendees to display work they were most proud of, and a free table where participants could leave unused materials or trade supplies with others. Flossie Floozies member Karen Voytecki said the goal was simple. “We just hope they have a great time,” Voytecki said. “We hope they get a little more work done on their project while socializing and having camaraderie. We have a free table so that people can bring in extra supplies to share. We hope they leave with more stuff than they came with.” Organizers said those interested in learning more about the group or joining can find the Flossie Floozies on Facebook. Copyright 2026 WITN.
