Costa Farms Partners with Planta on Plant Care August 12, 2026 | 3 min to read MIAMI, FL — Costa Farms, one of North America’s leading growers of indoor and outdoor plants, has announced a new partnership with Planta, the world’s top plant and garden care app. The collaboration combines Costa Farms’ horticultural expertise with Planta’s advanced digital tools to help consumers care for their plants with greater confidence, accuracy, and ease. Houseplant demand remains strong, but so does watering anxiety, along with questions around light, identification, and troubleshooting. In a recent Costa Farms survey, 55% of houseplant buyers are anxious about plant care. The Costa Farms–Planta partnership addresses these needs by pairing Costa Farms’ trusted plant varieties with Planta’s personalized care schedules, smart reminders, plant identification, light‑meter technology, and diagnostic support. Beginning today, every plant ordered across all Costa Farms E-commerce platforms will include one free month of Planta’s premium subscription, redeemable via a QR code that takes users straight to the app to help each plant thrive at home. In addition, the two companies will embark on co-marketing promotions and activations to reach new audiences. “Bringing home a new plant is exciting, but also comes with questions,” said Justin Hancock, Director of Research and Development and Horticultural Content at Costa Farms. “Partnering with Planta helps give plant parents more reliable, science‑based guidance right at their fingertips. It’s a powerful way to support consumers beyond the point of purchase and help them succeed with every plant they bring home.” The partnership deepens care education for Costa Farms’ plant varieties and gives shoppers trusted guidance from the moment a plant is unboxed. Adaptive Plant & Garden Care: Every care plan is tailored to each plant and its environment. By combining plant type, local weather, and growing conditions, Planta creates personalized schedules for watering, fertilizing, pruning, repotting, and more. Plant Health Companion: From identifying plants to diagnosing issues and recommending treatments, Planta delivers accurate identification, health diagnostics, and personalized care recommendations, built on nearly a decade of plant care expertise. Complete Plant Experience: More than a care app, Planta includes Light Meter, Seeds & Propagation, a vibrant plant community, Planta Market and gardening tools—helping users grow healthier indoor and outdoor plants. “Costa Farms is the leader in bringing beautiful, high‑quality plants to homes across North America,” said Jesper Svensson, CEO at Planta. “We’re thrilled to partner with them to make plant care more accessible, personalized, and enjoyable for millions of plant lovers.” The Planta app is available for iOS and Android on the App Store and Google Play; to learn more, visit getplanta.com.
