The manufacturer additionally secured recommendations from the premium Volkswagen Group brand for two aftermarket fitments carrying the Three Peak Mountain Snowflake mark for cold weather performance: the ProContact TX10 all-season tyre (North America) and the WinterContact TS 870 P winter tyre. The EcoContact 6 Q summer tyre features a specialised rubber compound and optimised tread pattern engineered to lower rolling resistance, enhance fuel efficiency, and minimise road noise. It has been approved as a factory fitment for the Q3 in 18, 19, and 20-inch sizes. For all-weather capabilities, the ProContact TX10 is recommended for drivers in the US and Canadian markets, offering balanced traction, low rolling noise, and light snow capability in 18-, 19-, and 20-inch options. Continental WinterContact TS 870 P R0 (Image: Continental) Completing the lineup, the WinterContact TS 870 P winter tyre – highly recommended by Tyrepress sister site WhatTyre in its 2026/27 Tyre of the Year Awards – features cold-weather rubber compounds and dynamic siping for ice and snow grip. The performance winter tyre combines a new tread design and rubber compound that remains flexible at low temperatures to reduce braking distances and increase handling confidence in cold, wet and snowy conditions.
