She was 94 years old. Connie was born on July 4, 1931, in Holden, Louisiana to Seigle Bruce Spiller and Lola Mae Durbin Spedale. Throughout her long and beautiful life, Connie was devoted to her family and friends. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcomed, valued, and loved. She possessed a natural grace and elegance, coupled with a warmth and generosity that made everyone in her presence feel at home. Those who knew Connie will remember her kindness, her warmth, her beautiful smile, and her extraordinary hospitality. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Seigle Bruce Spiller and Lola Durbin Spedale; her daughter, Dr. Brenda Williams Walker; her grandson, Ronald Lucas Chaisson; and her husband, Gerson Finkelstein. She is survived by her daughter, Belinda Joanne King; her brother, Bryant "Sonny" Spiller; her granddaughters, Jami Joanne DeBernard, Mittie Babette Roger, and Constance Savannah Walker Kill; eight cherished great-grandchildren; and her loving partner of 20+ years, Lucas Orihuela. Connie leaves behind a legacy of love, beauty, generosity, and grace. Her life touched many and she will be deeply missed.
