Тайвань отправил в США крупнейшую за 60 лет пресс-машину весом 5000 тонн

CLF Ships Taiwan's First 5000-Ton Injection Molding Machine, Its Largest in 60 Years, to a Top-Tier US Logistics Supplier A Two-Platen Design 15-20% Shorter Than an Equivalent Toggle Machine, With 20-50% Lower Power Draw in Volume Production. TAINAN, Sept. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Chuan Lih Fa Machinery Works Co., Ltd. (CLF), a leading global manufacturer of customized injection molding machines, today announced the successful shipment of Taiwan's first 5000-ton ultra-large two-platen injection molding machine (CLF-5000TPII) — also the largest machine in CLF's history — to a top-tier logistics and retail equipment supplier in the United States. Facing global manufacturing's dual demand for heavy-tonnage precision equipment and low-carbon transformation, CLF has distinguished itself in this high-barrier segment through six decades of independent R&D and in-house heavy-industrial machining strength, delivering a new volume-production solution for the heavy-duty plastic products used by North America's modern logistics industry. This 5000-ton heavy-industrial machine will be deployed to produce heavy-duty plastic bulk bins for produce, serving modern logistics operators and major supermarket chain distribution networks across the North American market. From initial blueprint design and the machining of critical upstream components to final assembly and shipment, the project not only pushed the limits of Taiwan's heavy-tonnage manufacturing but also demonstrated to the global market the profound resilience of the Made-in-Taiwan precision machinery supply chain. Inside the 5000-Ton Injection Molding Machine: Three Heavy-Industrial Breakthroughs 1. Breaking Spatial Limits: A Two-Platen Architecture 15-20% Shorter Building a 5000-ton-class machine tests the absolute limits of a manufacturer's facilities and heavy-industrial capacity. CLF's long-term investment in in-house heavy machining equipment includes an ultra-large overhead crane system able to handle extreme loads — rare among Taiwan's injection molding machine builders — along with a dedicated bay of six large milling machine tools, giving CLF 100% complete in-house heavy machining capability. On that foundation, CLF's R&D team selected a two-platen clamping system for the client, eliminating the toggle linkage required by conventional toggle machines and reducing machine length by 15% to 20% compared with toggle units of equivalent tonnage. As global buyers comprehensively evaluate the architectural benefits of two-platen vs. three-platen injection molding machines to optimize plant space and operational efficiency, CLF applies a consultative mindset to help clients precisely optimize initial capital expenditure (CAPEX). Furthermore, recognizing that mold changes on ultra-large machines can be constrained by facility height limits on overhead crane operations, the CLF team incorporated a customized side-entry mold loading design, resolving mold-change challenges for the client in advance. This proven clamping technology has previously enabled global buyers to realize innovative two-platen technology that revolutionizes plastic pallet production, demonstrating high-efficiency volume production in large logistics containers. 2. Meeting the Low-Carbon Transition: 20-50% Less Power in Production Heavy-tonnage machines typically mean substantial electricity costs. Understanding the power-consumption challenges multinational clients face amid the global ESG wave and the low-carbon transition, CLF built energy-saving planning into the project from the outset, equipping the machine with an electric-servo charging system and adding far-infrared heating elements that significantly reduce heat radiated into the plant. Long-term comparative test data from CLF's process platform shows that, versus conventional hydraulic drives, the system can cut power consumption by 20% to 50% during volume production, ensuring clients retain full control of long-term operating expenditure (OPEX) even at full output. 3. A Commitment to Process Stability: Reinforced Platens, 42 kg Headroom The core requirements for an ultra-large machine are long-term production stability and powerful injection force. CLF therefore reinforced the structural strength of the platens, ensuring the machine stays rigid and free of deformation under high-speed operation and the repeated impact of molds weighing tens of tons. These large-format bulk bins are highly prone to shrinkage or deformation if cavity pressure is lost during molding and cooling. CLF's process engineering team adopted a precise "low injection speed, high holding pressure" strategy, applying precision pressure control through the critical cooling and molding stage to lock cavity pressure firmly in place. The team also upheld its philosophy of thinking one step ahead: although the client's initial specification called for only a 30 kg part, CLF proactively configured the machine to support up to 42 kg, leaving ample flexibility for the client's future mold evolution and product-line upgrades. Six Decades in the Making: Proof of Taiwan's Heavy Machinery Capability "We did not build this machine to prove how big we can go, but to answer our client's ambitious blueprint," said Jenny Lin, Marketing Director at CLF. "The true milestone of this project lies in proving that Taiwan's manufacturing supply network and technical strength are now robust enough to take on top-tier global orders. The successful shipment of this 5000-ton machine is the world's affirmation of Taiwan's heavy machinery manufacturing capability. Moving forward, we will continue to serve as a long-term strategic partner to multinational clients in production-line planning and cost optimization, helping them avoid the capital waste of over-configuration." CLF is open for project feasibility consultations on large-tonnage and highly customized injection molding solutions. The 5000-ton machine described in this release has already shipped to the client; CLF's engineering team will also be at Taipei Plas 2026, Sept. 15-19, Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1, booth K0808, to review large-tonnage and multi-color injection projects with visiting buyers.
