Мать из Цинциннати получила новый автомобиль после потери работы из-за поломки старой машины

Cincinnati mom gifted car after facing hardship CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A Cincinnati mother got a big surprise Tuesday, and it could make a major difference for her family. Donovan’s Auto and Tire Center selected her for its annual CARes Vehicle Giveaway. For single mom Jasmin Hughley, having a reliable car is essential to her work as a home health aide and to caring for her four children. When her old car broke down, she lost clients and income. Tuesday, Donovan’s Auto and Tire Center gave her a 2017 Kia Niro to help her get back on track. Hughley’s previous car blew a head gasket, leaving her dependent on buses, rideshares and help from others. She had already overcome homelessness to secure a home for her family. Then, four people who knew her nominated her for Donovan’s CARes giveaway, including her mother, employer, neighbor and friend. More than 150 people were nominated, and 450 people voted. Hughley was selected to receive the Kia Niro, which Donovan’s fully inspected and repaired before handing over the keys. “She was having to Uber back and forth from appointments, and now she can do that in the luxury of this vehicle that we are donating. It’s a 2017 Kia Niro hybrid, great on gas for her, and 90,000 miles, and it’s in great shape,” said Dane Donovan, owner of Donovan’s Auto and Tire Center. Hughley was filled with excitement and gratitude when sharing how much the gift meant to her and her family. “I can’t even express how much it means because it is just amazing. It’s amazing; I’m thankful. I’m grateful. I can’t even express it; I don’t even know how to express it,” said Jasmin Hughley, who was gifted the new car. Donovan’s Auto and Tire Center started its CARes program last year to provide reliable transportation to local families facing hardship. The company plans to give away another vehicle through the program in 2027. See a spelling or grammatical error in our story? Please click here to report it.
