В Меридиане пройдет бесплатный семинар по здоровью вен с участием специалиста Ошнера

CHIN Lunch & Learn to Focus on Vein Health and Healthy Circulation Speaker will discuss circulation and vein problems at Meridian church event MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - The Community Health Improvement Network will hold a free Lunch & Learn on vein health on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at noon at NorthPark Church in Meridian. CHIN is an initiative of The Montgomery Institute. The program will feature Dr. Jason Farrar, a venous and lymphatic specialist with Ochsner Rush. He will discuss how the venous system works, factors that can contribute to vein problems, and why maintaining healthy circulation is an important part of overall health. Arteries carry blood away from the heart to the rest of the body, while veins return blood to the heart. In the legs, veins must work against gravity to return blood to the heart. Weak or damaged valves can interfere with that process and contribute to conditions such as varicose veins. The Lunch & Learn is part of CHIN’s continuing effort to make reliable health information accessible to people throughout the community. “Our Lunch & Learn programs give people an opportunity to hear directly from healthcare professionals and ask questions about issues that can affect their health and quality of life,” said Beverly Knox of The Montgomery Institute and CHIN. “We want people of all ages to have the information they need to become more informed and proactive about their health.” The event is free to attend, and lunch will be provided. Reservations are required and must be made by September 25. Participants may register online at www.tmi.ms or by calling 601-483-2661.
