Бывший заключенный из Харрисбурга запускает социальную игру, чтобы дарить радость детям и помогать молодежи

Catch him if you can: 'Mr. Supreem' brings joy to central PA with social media game HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHP) — A Harrisburg native known online as "Mr. Supreem" is trying to spread joy throughout a community he said he hurt as a child—and he’s doing it through a social media game called “Come Up Out That Bag.” Ayinda Harper, who grew up in midtown Harrisburg, said he was first arrested when he was 15 years old. Over the course of his life, Harper, now 37, said he spent 20 years in prison. As he grew older, he realized it was time for a change. Around two months ago, “Mr. Supreem” was born. “I was crying because my dad recently passed last year, and he wasn't proud of me,” Harper said. “I didn't reach my potential." “And then I woke up crying, thinking about all that. And then two days later, Mr. Supreem just came to my head, just to give back, bring happiness and joy to people's faces instead of fear, anger or, you know, insecurities.” Now, Harper is using social media to bring locals together and help young people avoid the same path he took. But how exactly does the game work? Harper will go live on Facebook and announce that day’s “rules,” things like sharing five of Facebook and Instagram videos. He’ll then leave a riddle about where he’ll be that day, inviting the public to come and find him. Once they find Harper, the person has to say the name of the game. Then, if they followed that day’s “rules,” they can easily pick a prize from Harper’s bag of goodies—things like Coach bags, board games, lip gloss, fidget toys and vouchers for free haircuts. If they didn’t follow the rules, however, Harper will take off running, and they have to catch him in order to claim a prize. “Like with girls and kids, I take it a little easy on them,” Harper said. “But adult men and stuff, I'm taking off. If they didn't follow the rules, I make them really, really burn. So you get a workout in before you get something out of the bag.” He said he’s started to carry a lot more kids' prizes. Harper purchases the majority of the prizes, he said, but he also gets some donations. “Once I make a child happy, that blossoms throughout the life of the child, the mothers, the people around them, the grandmothers, stuff like that,” Harper said. “That's how I look at it.” During an interview with CBS 21 Friday, Harper was approached by three adults playing the game, and two of them picked prizes for their kids. “This is what the community needs, especially in our area up here, uptown,” said Kyrel Williams, who picked a children’s toy after running after Harper. “It's a lot of kids going through a lot around here. Parents struggling, and everybody ain't got it going yet.” Another Harrisburg resident, named Destiny, picked out a bag she said was for her child. “This is a great thing that he's doing for the community and for the kids,” she said. “And I think he makes a lot of people feel better, you know, even parents, older people and all of that.” In some instances, kids chase down Harper themselves. One of Harper’s favorite memories is when he was approached by two kids in York County who cried when they caught him. “I always want the young guys to know that you could be dope boy fresh without the dope,” he said. “I just want our youth to grow up better than I did and to figure out what I did way sooner than I did.” You can click here Harper on Facebook as “Supreem Supreem,” or by clicking here.
