В Сиднее обновлены интерьеры The Epping Club: кастомный ковер с лиственным узором объединил залы в единый стиль

Modieus and Altis Architecture have given The Epping Club’s event spaces a bespoke carpet makeover – a custom leaf motif in caramel and burgundy ties the Ballroom, Grand Salon and Bridal Suite together with a fresh new look… Modieus worked with Altis Architecture to create bespoke carpet for the multi-million-dollar refurbishment of The Epping Club’s event spaces in Sydney. The renewed interiors balance classical architectural details with a richer, more expressive palette, creating the perfect destination for weddings, celebrations and corporate events. The project follows the Epping Events team’s recognition as number one in its venue category at the 2025 Wedding Industry Awards Greater Sydney. The accolade reflects the Club’s established reputation for service, professionalism and guest experience. Tamaryn Harris, Associate at Altis Architecture, explained: “The Epping Club asked for the refurbishment of their event spaces to feel timeless, but not too traditional – something with its own personality that could work beautifully for all kinds of tastes and celebrations. “Altis developed a rich, classic palette inspired by the colours and tones of the Australian landscape. Caramel and deep burgundy carpets sit against soft tonal grey walls and warm timber, with touches of blush and natural green coming through in the furniture and upholstery. Traditional moulding details are paired with playful architectural elements, large scale floral graphics and quirky furniture, curved forms and contemporary lighting, giving the spaces a balance of old and new. “The carpet became a focal element in each space. We custom designed and meticulously hand-drew every detail of the pattern specifically for the Club, developing an abstract leaf motif that feels soft, organic and modern. No two spaces are alike. The design brings movement and warmth to the larger spaces and creates a beautiful backdrop to the classical architectural detailing. Modieus worked diligently with Altis to bring the design to life over many long hours of collaboration. The beautiful outcome is testament to that hard work.” The flowing leaf motif now connects the Club’s event and public spaces, shifting in scale and composition to complement their different proportions. Its caramel and burgundy tones bring warmth to the expansive Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 500 guests, and the more intimate Grand Salon, which can host up to 250. The private Bridal Suite completes the sequence of renewed wedding spaces. Alongside the carpet, the refurbishment introduces sophisticated finishes, designer lighting and advanced sound and visual technology. These elements sit comfortably against warm timber and traditional mouldings, allowing the venue to move between different occasions and decorative schemes without losing its own identity. For Modieus, the project required close collaboration to translate Altis’s vision into carpet designs tailored to each individual area. The team worked with Altis to retain the softness and movement of the motif design while ensuring it remained visually effective across spaces of very different scales. Marjolaine Weibel of Modieus said: “Altis’s original artwork had a beautiful fluidity, so our focus was on protecting that quality as we developed the carpet for each space. By working closely with Tamaryn and our design manager Leah Manwaring, we were able to create a family of designs that feels connected throughout the venue, while giving every area its own identity.” The result is a confident and characterful interior that retains the sense of occasion for which The Epping Club is known, while giving its celebrated event spaces a fresh identity rooted in pattern and colour.
