Группа Carson Peters & Iron Mountain выступит в Флойде

Carson Peters & Iron Mountain to perform in Floyd FLOYD, Va. (WDBJ) - On Saturday night, Carson Peters & Iron Mountain are scheduled to appear at the Floyd Country Store. They’re a young bluegrass band on the rise. But Peters has been playing music and performing for eager audiences most of his life. The title track, and most of the songs on the band’s latest album are originals, high-energy bluegrass delivered by a group of skilled musicians. Peters has had plenty of practice. We first met him in 2010 when he was just six years old, taking part in the youth competition at the Old Fiddlers Convention in Galax. “You know honestly, that’s some of the youngest footage that I’ve seen in a long time of me, So, that’s hilarious,” Peters said in an interview. “I look back in a more appreciative sense now, you know, thanking mom and dad for going out there with me.” 16 years later he is the frontman for Carson Peters & Iron Mountain. And with growing success as a songwriter, he recently signed a publishing deal with Sony Music. “There’s definitely a transition when you go from cute kid that plays the fiddle to trying to be a legitimate bluegrass band and touring act,” Peters said. Speaking with us from Nashville where the band is now based, he said he’s enjoying the latest turns in a long and winding career. “Instead of pressure, it’s almost a good thing, where it’s like hey these people are going to look at me differently now and expect a genuine, professional bluegrass act, a professional sounding record or a professional sounding song. And I feel totally prepared to deliver that now,” he said. “Luckily I had a head start on most musicians, starting at three you know,” Peters said. “We are a young band, but I’m really proud of our show from minute one to minute 90. And I’m really excited for people to see us all grown up now.” For more information on Saturday’s concert, visit the Floyd Country Store website. Copyright 2026 WDBJ. All rights reserved.
