Жители дома престарелых на острове Блэк-Айленд создали уникальную 3D-инсталляцию из бумажных дельфинов

Black Isle Fortrose Eilean Dubh care home residents make a splash with dolphin artwork Residents at a Black Isle care home have been making a splash after creating a striking 3D artwork celebrating the Moray Firth’s most iconic residents. The colourful dolphin display at Eilean Dubh in Fortrose was created with local artist Liz Peck, whose mother lives at the home, and her husband Andy, using everyday and recycled materials. Over several months, cardboard boxes, old newspapers and leftover wall filler were transformed into a pod of 3D dolphins, mounted against a seascape painted by Liz. Residents were involved throughout the project, decorating the dolphins and giving each one its own name. The finished artwork is now on display in Eilean Dubh’s main foyer. Carrie Mudge, wellbeing coordinator at Eilean Dubh, said: “We wanted to create something that captured the beauty of the dolphins and reflected our wonderful location overlooking the Moray Firth. “We’re very lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the Highlands, with dolphins right on our doorstep. “Our residents really enjoyed being part of the project and seeing the dolphins come to life. A huge thank you to Liz and Andy for working with us to create something very special.” Liz has worked closely with Eilean Dubh residents on a number of creative projects. In July, she led a series of art sessions with residents, helping them create a collection of abstract paintings, while last year she worked with residents and staff on the home’s sculpture for the Highland HeArt Trail in support of Highland Hospice.
