Close to 6,800 riders chose this connection from late May through mid-July. Ticket prices dipped almost 4% to $35.83. Passenger counts beat last year's totals in almost every week tracked, climbing anywhere from 2% to 46%. Multiple weeks posted gains topping 25%. Records reveal appetite for overnight stays and extended trips — more than 90% of round-trip riders booked return legs on different days. "Atlantic City has been one of our strongest-performing leisure destinations this summer," said Axel Hellman, co-founder of OurBus, according to ROI.NJ. "We've seen strong demand from travelers looking for an affordable weekend trip within easy reach of New York City, whether they're heading to the beach, a concert, or one of Atlantic City's casino resorts." OurBus is an intercity transportation platform connecting more than 300 destinations across the United States through a network of independent motorcoach companies. It started in 2016. The service blends scheduled intercity runs with mobile tickets, real-time bus tracking, and flexible pickup spots. Over the past year, the company grew access to the route by adding pickup locations in lower Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Staten Island. More travelers across the metro area now have direct service to the shore destination. "We're seeing consistent demand throughout the summer — not just around holiday weekends — which suggests travelers continue to prioritize convenient regional getaways," Hellman said. "Expanding pickup options has made it easier for more people across the New York metropolitan area to choose Atlantic City for a weekend trip."
