Boston Jill plans Scotland trip with fan meet-up after dumping Tartan Army Tommy Jill Roberts has confirmed she will still be visiting Scotland despite splitting from Tommy Morrison, who is facing serious criminal charges. A Boston woman who dumped a Tartan Army footsoldier after his criminal charges came to light plans to meet up with fans in Scotland. Jill Roberts, 42, announced her split from Tommy Morrison last week as the Record revealed her former lover was facing serious criminal charges. The couple met during the World Cup when Scotland fans staged a takeover of Fenway Park in the US city on June 16. The blossoming romance between the American singer and the 38-year-old joiner from Bonnyrigg earned the pair scores of online fans, with Jill booking flights to visit her new boyfriend this month. But after ending their summer fling, the American mum has revealed she will embark on a trip to Scotland - and hopes to meet her new legion of fans. Her week-long adventure across the pond will take her from Edinburgh to Crieff and Glasgow, where she hopes to meet some online supporters and take in a Celtic game. She said: “I didn’t want anyone left wondering what the plan was, so here’s the full rundown: a couple of days in Edinburgh, a solo reset in Crieff, then Glasgow for connecting and finally meeting the hilarious Beth Knight Art plus a Celtic match." TikTok comedian Beth Knight, an American who documents her life in Glasgow, said Jill will attend her show at Andersons in the city on September 3rd where they hope to host a Q&A. Jill also said she would love to meet fans in both Glasgow and Edinburgh during her holiday and asked for recommendations for a venue in the cities. She added: “I would love to meet as many of you as possible in person.” The Boston mum admitted she will have to return to Scotland, saying: “I’ve already accepted I’ll need to come back for round two.” Her post also thanked the Scottish supporters who have rallied around her following the break-up with Hibs fan Tommy. She wrote: “So many of you have been unbelievably kind to me over these last few months, especially this last week.” The pair first crossed paths after Jill went to watch the Boston Red Sox take on the Toronto Blue Jays for Pride Night, unaware thousands of Scotland supporters would also descend on the famous ballpark. As she walked to her car, she bumped into Tommy, who was heading towards the train station. The pair chatted briefly and Jill recorded a video of their encounter, but they went their separate ways without exchanging numbers. She later admitted she immediately regretted not getting his contact details. Fate intervened when one of Tommy’s ex-girlfriends spotted Jill’s social media post and commented that she knew him, before passing over his number and Jill began messaging him on WhatsApp. At the time, Jill described the relationship as an unexpected gift from Scotland’s World Cup adventure. Tommy had also spoken excitedly about their planned reunion, joking that Jill believed everyone in Scotland lived in castles and wore kilts every day. He had promised to organise a special surprise so she could experience the country in full. The Record then revealed Tommy had appeared in court earlier this year on charges of offences under Solemn Procedure, usually dealt with by trial before a judge and a jury of 15 people.
