Bilfinger introduces health and nutrition support for UK offshore workforce International industrial services provider Bilfinger has implemented health and nutrition support for its UK offshore workforce. Based in western and central Europe and operating across Europe, North America, and the Middle East, the organisation has around 31,000 employees in total. Through a partnership with Food For Fitness, its UK offshore employees will have access to the provider’s app. This has been designed to make healthier eating easier and give employees simple, high-protein meals that can support healthy weight management and recovery from physically demanding work. It focuses on simple, high-protein meals and offers practical nutrition support around healthy weight management, recovery and everyday eating. High-protein meals can be useful for those working in physically demanding offshore roles, helping to support muscle recovery. Bilfinger employees will also be able to access practical support and resources to help them make informed choices about their health and wellbeing. The organisation has introduced the initiative as the offshore industry prepares for the introduction of the new helicopter passenger weight limit. Bilfinger’s aim is to give its employees additional support to make positive, sustainable changes to their diets and lifestyles. Laura Hardie, engagement and wellbeing manager at Bilfinger, said: “Supporting the health and wellbeing of our workforce is incredibly important to us. Through our partnership with Food For Fitness, our employees can access practical nutrition advice and resources to help build healthier, sustainable habits. As the industry prepares for changes to offshore passenger weight guidance, we want to ensure our people feel supported every step of the way.”
